Whitton Phab is a Local Service youth Group provided for partially disabled or partially mentally disabled youngsters. Helping them to integrate and take part in the local community. As Chairman we raise funds and supply the resources for the members so that this may take place. In addition I also make a contribution to the regional management and activities.
Chef Demonstrator – Teacher – Art of Entertaining in Country Houses 1999 – 2018 (19 years)
Hosting and demonstrating the Art of Cooking in Country Houses – a one day event including tips and practical applications on entertaining making it stress free and enjoyable. Locations included – France – Belgium – Scotland – on board yachts – Farm houses and country houses in Kent, Hampshire, Worcestershire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Essex.
Chairman – Royal Commonwealth Society Wine Club 1976 – 2018 (42 years)
Chairman, for several years, of this organisation. Hosting, Wine tastings both academic and social. Planning and organising trips to France and Kent for subject matter interest.
Executive Chairman & Trustee – Commonwealth Countries League 2005 – 2007 (2 years)
In a voluntary capacity fulfilled the post of Chairman to this organisation attempting to stimulate a more active approach to raising funds for it’s charitable arm – the Education Fund of which I also served as a Trustee. Gained experience in Charity Law and working within the framework. Highly political organisation with many complications of governance and management structure from which I eventually resigned.

Managing Club Food Services encompassing a Buttery, 250 Seat Restaurant, Three Bars, 10 Functions Suites, 120 Bedroom Hotel serving Professionals, Diplomats, Overseas Visitors and Heads of State. Management included budgeting, refurbishments, profit and loss. Wine purchasing for laying down and future consumption plans, liaising with management committees.
